Anyone else having trouble with Amazon's new delivery service?

So far on my end, it's been a total clusterfack. They've repeatedly delivered items to the wrong house. Customer service will even send you a pic saying "hey look we delivered your package". Nice pic, but not my house.

Right now the driver is rummaging through her Sprinter van looking for a package that was delivered yesterday. At least they finally got the right house. Oh and she just did a 20 point turn to get out of my driveway instead on backing into the paved turnaround area.

Sounds like you got a bad driver.

Met my Prime driver over the weekend. Snazzy new Mercedes Prime van. He was right on time with a smile on his face.

I actually logged on to post the same thing. The new Amazon local delivery went live in the last week or so and today was the first day an item was delivered on time and to the correct location as well.

Last week I got an email that an Amazon delivery driver "couldn't find a safe location to leave the package"...nevermind that there was already a UPS delivery on our porch.

I've never had an issue with Amazon deliveries

In fact...just ordered some ice cream that will be delivered to me in 2 hours.

Other than not being very well marked, ours is solid.

They're getting better with the vans and vests, but seems risky for the drivers, who at the outset were wearing normal clothes in unmarked vehicles.

Of course, LaserShip is even worse here, they slap a magnet on a 1989 Toyota Camry and deliver shite.

Amazons customer service is going to shite. I think they're expanding too fast. My orders routinely get screwed up and customer service is inept
Their prices are not as competitive as they once were either

I had a package delivered last Sunday. I was amazed that they did that.

So this is why my 2 day shipping is now 3? Order placed Monday morning gave me the Prime shipping delivery of Thursday. I can wait for 3 days but whats the delay?

I wish Baton Rouge was in a two hour delivery zone.

this. Had a free two business day delivery on a $20 purchase. Friday night to Sunday just after noon via usps.

If having problems, op, just contact customer service. They're pretty good and will straighten it out.

LOL

"I'm deeply sorry for your issues. As a courtesy, here's $5 off your next order."

Like clockwork, every-time. I don't want your $5...I want the package to arrive when you say it will. I'm at about 50% on-time deliveries this year between USPS and Amazon Delivery.

UPS hasn't missed one yet.

I'm looking forward to Amazon getting better competition.

They're starting to squeeze and take advantage of customers.

Yeah they are a bit disorganized. We have had uhaul vans about every other day as the amazon delivery as well.

One good thing is you can gps track where the driver is and how many stops he has left

Yesterday was my first delivery, on schedule. Except... I happened to go outside when the 2 new Amazon delivery vans were blocking our driveway when my wife was trying to pull in after work. The driver of one (bm) was talking with the driver of the other (bf), then he got back into his snappy new Amazon van to leave. But in between, the other driver came up to me with an odd shaped box for the 2 books I was expecting, and asked if this was my address on the box. She read off the street name. It was not my street. I told her no, it wasn’t my street. She seemed confused by this revelation, and rushed back to her van where she started rummaging around. I walked up to the van about to depart and told the driver what happened. He must have been training her, or something. He mumbled, she confused. Got out to help her. Together, they came up with the right items in the right box addressed correctly and happily gave it to me. Relieved, I took my box and went inside, hoping that between both of them, they could find their way out of our cul de sac with a minimum of confusion.

Nice vans. Look snazzy. I’m now skeptical. I’d rather reliability.

That was the issue with the driver I spoke with as well... total confusion.

I just noticed on the way back from lunch there are about 8 houses on my street including me that put out those little green reflective address signs. I'm must not be the only one.

I had 2 deliveries last week “out for delivery” then “lost” then get delivered 3 days late

I was wondering why this just started happening. Never had any issues in the last 2 years. Makes sense now.

Little green reflective address signs? Are these something Prime gives you? Don’t know about this, if so.
