Anyone else have deliveries go to some other address?

In 2025? Technology should prevent this.
Make a purchase from Sams Club online a few days ago. Delivery was Monday with FedEx, but I didn't find the box on my porch or by my garage. Went to the delivery email and see the driver did take a picture and upload it, but it wasn't my porch, nor any porch in my neighborhood.
I called FedEx, automated system tells me to open a ticket online. Opened a support ticket online and posted the details, delivered to wrong address, not in my neighborhood, blah, blah, and got an automated response with an opened ticket. Fine.
Today I get an email update stating that they package was delivered and the ticket would be closed. I responded to the ticket, and then decided to call back in and held to finally talk to someone. No matter what I said, she kept saying the ticket showed it delivered, no matter what I said. Yes, it was delivered, but not to me!
I called Sams and explained and they put me on hold to call Fedex, confirmed the misdelivery, and then offered to reship or refund. I chose refund and will pick up the item in the store.
Why does FexEx not have technology that shows them the address of the home they are in front of and they can look/scan the package to confirm, them drop if off?

They do, your driver just didn’t use it correctly
That’s shitty though, anytime I’ve ever had this happen, they just give me my money back instantly.
I ordered two computer monitors on prime day several years ago, they were marked as delivered but didn’t show, I asked and got a refund then they showed up like 3 days later. Got the monitors for free

Almost happened to me this morning with an Amazon delivery.
The lady was about to put my packages on the porch, looked at her handheld in confusion, started walking away with my boxes... I came out and asked why she was leaving and she showed me on the handheld that it was to go a few doors down. My name and addy were on the pkg, my house number on the house- but her device was telling her something different.
She said it'd been happening since she started her shift at 4am and was really slowing her down.

Shorts from Amazon went to a neighbor 12 houses down. His address is off by one number compared to mine.
I know which house it went to, who lives there, and sent the homeowner a FB message with zero response.
I'm waiting to catch that thief cutting his grass in my shorts.

Democrats are still employed by the USPS and they can't read house numbers.

As a matter of good opsec you should have ALL of your deliveries go to some other address like a PO Box, UPS Store, Amazon Locker, etc.
I disagree...that would necessitate leaving the compound and navigating the mean streets of middle class suburbia where one is no doubt going to be exposed to all manner of ill shite like folks taking too long to go when the light turns and some bastard only exceeding the speed limit by 10 MPH and front of you. Either of these is the worst thing to ever happen to a human, makes the holocaust seem like a bad cocktail party. The risks are simply too great to leave home for ANY reason....the entire world is bent on your destruction and the better part of valor is to stay the frick at the house. Its even better to not order anything from Amazon. Most of the shite they sale is made outside of the US...no telling whose had their unwashed grubby dick skinners all over it...who wants that on the place. No, the safe thing to do is sit inside the house with a loaded weapon and the lights off and wait for them to come and get you 'cause they coming, bank on it.....

Amazon does that, but this was dealing with FedEx and Sams. Sams did refund my money, but FedEx acted like there was no issue and closed my ticket without resolution.

Up to and including when Megan Brennan was Postmaster General, we were reasonably efficient. Maybe once a month I had to try to track down a missing parcel.
When Trump had DeJoy appointed as PMG, our logistics were changed in ways that would be laughable if it wasn’t people’s mail we were handling.
Technology is lacking. Also, at least half of the days of a week my office gets packages with just a person’s name and our city, which is no fault of ours.
I’ve been returning a guy’s Amazon packages back for 3 weeks now, because we don’t deliver to the address he is using for his Amazon purchases. You would think he would realize he hasn’t gotten the first package, but every day he just continues to click.
