Some people just like to complain, and some people have never done manual labor, so they don’t understand how tiring some jobs are.

With that said, watching small children can be exhausting, especially if there are several at once and if you are doing other tasks at the same time. My job can be stressful as well, but I would much rather take my average work day than the average day with a baby and toddler. That probably explains why I put all of my kids in day care and went back to work about 3 months having each of them. The extra money was nice as well.

While I agree 100%, that's not across the board homey.
And I know where you are coming from.

I was the sole provider for 13 years. I made the money, took care of all the manly duties around the house, finances, dealing with AC repairs/etc. Servicing/washing the cars, etc. She was the mom, and did all the mom things for the kids. Then my wife started a business that as a blessing to us, took off quickly and I quit my career to help her as it was that successful. Since the business is still in its infancy, she works every day and has barely any time for anything else, which to us is understandable for starting a business.

There have been several days when she has a breakdown on her new role of the stress, risk, future uncertainties, finances, etc. You know, the normal stuff that men have as the provider. She gets exhausted. I stay out of her hair so she can focus on the business (as I would want to be treated when running a business) and do all I can to support her as a manager by maintaining the books, dealing with insurance agents, payroll, dealing with the lawyer, etc. Add to all this is that now I am the chaffeur for the kids around town to school, doctor appts, OT, etc....you know, Mom duties. Also add that I still do all the manly duties that normally the breadwinner takes care of. My plate is full and spilling over.

Then one time after a stressful day for her, I told her "Now imagine after all that happened today, you go home to a spouse who immediately nags you when you open the front door. How would that make you feel?"

I like my new role, and it is a great feeling knowing that at the end of the day I won't be fired, laid off, or demoted.

I never bitch or complain. I just do it, like a man.

so I have a ton of friends who are nurses. I wouldn't say I've never seen it but it's super rare.

It is usually an LPN, I don't even know how they are lumped with Nurses and not CNA's
