A ton of people get a hard on for Amazon on this site lol don't have a problem with companies eating themselves alive to fight for market share.

Had one competitor who operated his business at a very low margin. I had to beat him on quality and service.

Turns out he was laundering cash for his gambling and drug profits instead of trying to turn a profit.

Just going to use your oil change shop example:

I can only speak for the electrical aisle, but there it is recessed cans and 12 and 14 romex, they rape you pretty much everywhere else, but know those items are what a lot of uninformed shoppers price out the most
