Does the spreadsheet list the ticket numbers that were purchased? I would just have a hard time trusting the person holding the tickets. Seems ripe for a "oh, the winning ticket was one that I purchased separately" type thing.

It does, with the receipt of where and what time they were purchased.

Why would you just immediately quit your job? Seems like a dumb move.

I think it might depending on the age. I wouldn't call it "dumb", but maybe he should finish out the year.

Ours is very informal, but we have a list of names, and every ticket bought with the money pool is scanned to a 11x17 to be as transparent as possible.

Just talking shite. I'm way to self destructive to have that much money and free time, so I'd keep coaching.

20 people at work. I told myself that if I won on my individual ticket that I would sub it for a work ticket.

9 of us put up $10 each. I took a pic of the tickets and texted to the others so they can see our numbers. But that was for my benefit in case i bought some separately...they know i'm not a POS that would run off and steal their winnings. Would still be an insane amount of money split 9 ways.

When you're fired you rarely get a '2 week notice'.

I wouldn't even call in, I would never step foot in that place again.
