Helped greatly with my generalized anxiety. Didn't numb me but I could deal with situations and give them the proper amount of concern and not overdo it.

Nails my experience and I've found those who gave up on it within the first 6 months had more negative experiences. My mood isn't dulled, it's enhanced as there seems to be a retraining of what is and what is not important. I was lost in the minutiae of career and life and needed a boost to calm the frick down and get a grip. 3 year user, 25 mg per day.

I didn't like it at all.Made me feel really jittery.Skin crawling.

Unfortunately I can't sleep without one of those type meds.

I think we all have unique brains. It took trials on several of those meds before I tried Celexa.

I've been taking 40 mg of Celexa every morning for the last 10 years.

Best of luck with whatever med(s) you take.

I started on 10mg and for the first month I had suicidal thoughts. It scared the shite out of me however, I knew it was from the Lexapro so I dealt with it. After about 6 weeks I became mellow but I wasn't on the dontgiveashit scale. My wife said that I was more pleasant than before and did not rile as easy as before. After a couple of years I dropped off to 5mg per day. Seems okay and does the job for me.

I had used Ambien as well and ended up using a 3rd of the initial dose....

I've taken all of them for anxiety. Lexapro worked well for about two years, but it started to wear off. My doctor switched me to pristiq, which caused me to want to walk out on my wife. I've tried Paxil and celexa too, but settled on cymbalta. I've been taking it for about two years now and it helps. I will say- cymbalta and lexapro had fewer sexual side effects than the others. Good luck to you

I call it Lexi-pudge. Was on it six months and gained 25 pounds with no diet or life style changes. Stopped taking it and was back to my normal weight 2 months later, again with no changes. It seemed to do what it was supposed to do, though. But not worth it to me.

I used it short term. Was really hard to get used to and I had a bad couple of months. Stayed on it about 3 months and started to get better. Tapered off when some life changes happened and my life naturally improved as a result.
But lexapro helped while I was in between stages of life.

Just make sure you try to sue the everliving shite out of the person who prescribed it to you.

A very good friend was on it 10 years ago. He decided suicide by cop was a good idea.

I'm not a fan of lexapro.

Been taking 10mg for 11 years, no more panic attacks.

Side effects...Maybe limp pecker but I offset that with evolution peptides. I am also a 49 year old smoker so that may contribute to the softer sausage.
