Less serious side effects may include:
drowsiness, dizziness;
sleep problems (insomnia);
mild nausea, gas, heartburn, upset stomach, constipation;
weight changes;
decreased sex drive, impotence, or difficulty having an orgasm; or.
dry mouth, yawning, ringing in your ears.

It's going to be different for everyone

But my SIL gave me a bunch of free samples from her doc office.

I went from worrying about EVERYTHING. To completely not giving a single frick about a single thing. To detriment. I remember telling my land lord 'yeah I don't have the rent right now, but I'll get it' without a care in the world

Was on it years ago.

Hated how it made me feel nothing.

Did what you are not supposed to do and quit cold turkey.

Never felt the need to kill myself.

This is not medical advice.

Yep. You may have to try a few to get what works best for you. Just be open and honest with your doctor. Also make sure to give the medicine time to work. Anti-depressants aren't happy pills.

I don't recommend ever getting on any antidepressant, period. Once you start, it's extremely hard to get off. I have taken the lot of them, and I currently take the lowest dose of Paxil just to keep it in my system. I've tried numerous times, for every one, to slowly wean myself off, but when I stop taking it completely, I feel "off" and it's like bees are buzzing inside my head. They never helped me at all, anyway. It'll make you gain a little weight, too.

My wife (no pics) has always struggled with some mild anxiety. Since the flood it has gotten a bit worse and is accompanied by some degree of depression. After reading the side effects (which to me seem to be fairly standard) she is hesitant to start taking it but has decided to start with it tomorrow morning.
I was just hoping that I could get some input here from those of you who have experience with it. Again, thank you

every single medicine has a similar list of side effects
quote:

Common ibuprofen side effects may include:

upset stomach, mild heartburn, nausea, vomiting;
bloating, gas, diarrhea, constipation;
dizziness, headache, nervousness;
mild itching or rash; or
ringing in your ears.

you'd never take anything if you worried about all the dumb possible side effects

About the only one my wife can stand. She takes a very low dose in the mornings. She had switched around to a few different ones, but landed back with Lexapro and it is enough to ease her anxiety without making her feel numb.

Took for about a year. Works but side effects were a bit much for me. Discontinued, good god, was an uncomfortable experience. Will not take another ssri. Am currently adjusting to Wellbutrin (sp)...doesn't seem to have side effects, which were noted earlier.

Is a good medicine, works, but at what one is willing to tolerate or is able to

Made me drowsy and gave me dry mouth. Didn't see any other effects.

Helped greatly with my generalized anxiety. Didn't numb me but I could deal with situations and give them the proper amount of concern and not overdo it.
