I’ve been more surprised that they are NOT gouging. I would have paid $10/gallon on Tuesday

I agree it’s wrong to take advantage of a bad situation. Look at what ammo and reloading components have been this last year. Outrageous.
However, five gallon gas cans don’t take up much room so why didn’t you have four or five empties? And you knew this storm was coming and had enough time to fill everything including vehicles.
Like the saying goes, lack of planning on your part doesn’t constitute an emergency on mine

After Katrina we were searching for gas. Found a little mom and pop shop in Livingston parish. I paid $6 a gallon, cash only, and the line was huge. Supply and demand
