I'm in need of putting new tires on a car. I need a recommendation of a new set. Currently running Bridgestone 215/55/17 and they don't last 25k miles. What say the OT?

I used to buy Falkens when I had a car, pretty impressed with them. That was a few years ago so I would check reviews.

Not looking for a truck tire. Looking for a tire for a 4 door sedan. I'm not a car tire expert because I drive a pickup and always have.

Tire mileage is a function of Treadwear rating- a tire will a tread rating of 700 will last twice as long as a tire with 350

Driving habits come in to play also, do you keep tires properly inflated and rotated? aligned?

What type of vehicle? do you tow a trailer? carry heavy loads? drive on sub standard roads?

There are lots variables

are the tires wearing evenly?...if not, the brand won't matter because there is a problem with the car...

but to answer your question, as a few others have said, go to tirerack and read their comparisons...they have damn good info on pretty much any tire made...use that info to decide and then buy locally...

Michelin is regarded as one of the best. If you don't mind paying the price you can't go wrong with michelins

Michelins are a great tire, but very expensive.

I've had great luck with my Hankook Ventus tires. It's a good tire and much cheaper than some of the bigger brands.
