I’m not addicted, I just drink about a gallon of black coffee everyday because it tastes so so good.

Gotta get the bottled water man. My situation is similar to yours...I love the smell and taste of coffee/caffeine but it doesn't love me...I feel so much better since getting off it.

If Diet sodas were so bad for you it would carry a warning label in the peoples' republic of california. The tap water has a fricking warning label.

I’ve been a coffee drinker my entire adult life. I work shift work and it’s more of a habit than anything. I started weaning myself off of it with half regular/half decaf coffee and tea. I did that for awhile and now strictly drink decaf.

Doctor once told me I'd feel better if I gave up alcohol.

my doctor, who's exactly my age, told me he wishes his blood labs look as good as mine. Then followed up with "now if I can just get you to give up caffeine, alcohol, and red meat" - I said STFU until your labs look as good as mine... and even then I won't give them up.

can all just go ahead and agree right now,

that there is time and a place for decaf coffee- and it's never and in the trash

Disagree. I drink regular in the morning, but sometimes at dinner time, a nice cup of coffee goes well with dessert. So I drink decaf. It’s not quite as good, but I’ve gotten used to it enough for it not to matter.

I hate coffee but a previous job had me getting up at 4 every morning and not getting home till 6 in the evening. I lived in Florida and drinking hot drinks in the morning was the last thing I wanted. I started drinking Diet Cokes and before I knew it I was drinking 12 a day.

I stopped by going on vacation and the headaches stopped after two days. Took a lot of ibuprofen those two days. I then Switched to Ginger Ale and 3 months later stopped drinking Soda all together. Been drinking water for 15 years now. Sleep like a baby at night and don’t get jitters or heart palpitations anymore .

I drink coffee all morning straight until 2:00pm. I guess it’s an addiction.
