Yeah, the Tundra is also very outdated but reliability and resale keep it relevant in the half ton market.

I haven’t heard of any horror stories with the new Titan, I also don’t keep up with truck news as much as I used to, but Nissan has definitely lost a bit of credibility in their reliability department over the years. Also, the Titan consistently ranks last in half ton comparisons. Think mainly due to capability, which most don’t fully utilize anyway.

Yeah and they have a picture showing just over 8k. I'll be calling them this afternoon about it. Really looking to get into something by Christmas

They’ve probably been using it as a parts delivery truck which is why it’s listed at $4,000-$5,000 below market value.

I see, it kinda made me skeptical because I was thinking the truck had problems and that's why the guy only drove it 8k miles. I haven't bought a new vehicle since 2009 and it's time son

FWIW, I bought truck used when it had 8k miles on it. I also sort of wondered why someone only kept it one year, but then again there are a million reasons why people get rid of vehicles.

Yeah I was talking to some family and they said the same thing, I just saw it as red flags, thinking it was a POS truck but it could have also been a lease vehicle.

sales for 2017 and 2018 have really picked up for them with over 50K sold per year.
My BIL bought an ‘18 model and likes it. The 100k warranty was the deciding factor. Not sure if it’s powertrain or bumper-to-bumper.

Co worker bought a new one about 2013. He hated it cause it gave him tons of mechanical problems. It stayed in the shop.

I wasn’t even smart enough to get the car fax report
I got lucky I guess. If carfax comes back clean then go for it.

Insightful answer. I can follow your logic and see how you came to that conclusion.

That is certainly solid, but to play Devil's Advocate I hate taking vehicles to dealers. The dealers are 30 minutes from me in a direction I never go. I'd much rather a car that is cheaper and easier to repair with fewer problems then deal with warranty stuff.

I’ve got a 2010 with 131k miles that runs well. I’ve had to replace the starter, but everything else has been good.

Nissan plant that manufactures these is about 10 miles from my house. They are good trucks, but I think for the price people choose to spend the same amount of money on a Ford, Chevy or Toyota.

That being said, if you know anyone in the Jackson Metro area that works for Nissan, the friends and family discount you can get from Nissan is a killer deal.
