My Wife wants an exercise bike for Christmas, for some frickin reason, but it has to have a TV on it. Is not not women in a nutshell? A frickin TV on an exercise bike?

She said ask tiger droppings where to get one cheap, they know everything else. I need to quit quoting yall.

I’ve never understood biking just to stay in place. Might as well have a tv I guess.

Or join a gym.

Get her a bicycle from goodwill, take the chain off, throw down the kickstand. You may need some cinderblocks to balance it out.

While at goodwill, grab an old box tv. Plug it in, presto! With any luck you can find a VCR too.

Buy her a real bike and tell her to go outside.

Just get any exercise bike and get a tablet mount for it, costs less than $20.

Amazon example

Tell her a TV for an exercise bike is not going to do anything for her laird arse.

When she hits you with a rolling pin or other blunt object, call the cops and file domestic abuse charges. Then divorce her, taking her to the cleaners, and ending up with a younger skinner one that doesn’t need a bike.

If you don’t want to take that risk, why not just get her an iPad holder for an exercise bike. That is probably cheaper. And you don’t have to deal with the hassle of adding another TV outlet from the cable company.

It’s a lot cheaper to get a gym membership now a days than to buy and maintain any home cardio equipment that’s worth a shite.

Wife insisted she wanted a peloton bike last year for Christmas. Kept suggesting she try a gym membership for a while to see if she would like it. Instead she agreed to try a lower cost stationary bike ($250 range) and an iPad holder. I think she used it once before deciding it made her knees hurt too bad. That’s a few thousand dollars saved.

Unless someone has medical issues cycling should not cause pain in the knees. 95% of the time new cyclists left to their own devices don't know how to set proper saddle height. They generally ride with the seat WAY to low and it puts lots of stress on the knees. The general rule is pain on the front of the knee saddle height is too low on the back of the knee saddle height is too high.

For anyone who is getting an indoor or outdoor bike for the holidays find one of the tons of youtube videos that address saddle height.
