Same. I learned in an old Bronco II when I was a teenager but every car I've owned or driven has been an automatic.
I'd love to get a little beater for errands and yard work that I could get back on the horse with.

Got my Nissan in college and had a chance to find a manual 6 speed so I went with that. My dad had a 5 speed 240 back when I was little and I always wanted to get something similar, so I did. I taught myself how to drive it, but it's not hard. The scariest part was stalling in traffic on any angle of incline and pissing folks off for the first month. Still have the car to this day, with same transmission and zero issues, going on nine years now.

Bought a jeep in '02 that was a stick. Fpr some reason it just felt more like a jeep than an automatic would have.

I "know" how to drive a stick, i.e. the process involved, but have never had to so not sure how that knowledge would translate to action.

I've only owned manuals. Automatics aren't fun and they don't know the exact gear I want to be in for turns, etc.

Same. I know the process, but I'm not good at putting it together. I did successfully drive an old F350 around the cane fields by my house once, if that counts. Downshifting confuses me.

You're a woman. You can't drive anything.

I daily drive a manual. Nothing better than downshifting and flooring it. One of the few things that actually keeps me happy.

I've been waiting for somebody to teach me for 32 years. My dad quit owning standards about the time I started driving. Nobody in my extended family had one.
I tried to go rent one a few years ago to learn. They don't even rent them.
It's futile.
