Crescent moon ice from the fridge sucks
Plus I am poor and don't have ice maker in fridge.

Hosizaki is probably the best and they make a nugget ice maker. Though looking at $2500 to $3000.

Yes.
Unfortunately ice makers in general are very shitty unreliable products
I have one in my refrigerator but if I didn't I'd either be using the trays or just pick up at the store

I use an ice machine by my house that charges a dollar for 14 pounds of ice.

Take a look at Amazon ice makers. I think we paid less than $40 two years ago when my husband decided he wanted one on our sailboat when it was in the marina so he could have really cold drinks when he worked on the boat.
Most of the folks at the previous marina had similar small but efficient ones.
You have to be there when it drops the cubes, but from there into a freezer. (Beats ice trays.)

Bought 2 within the last 2 months. Bought a manitowoc 310 head full dice for home and. 310 lb half dice for camp. Half dice makes faster and the ice last longer.
