Like the Omaha steaks or a more local driver?

I had one guy give me a deal who served Dallas and eastward to Shreveport or he claimed he did. Overall the steaks were decent, I had better but I had worse.

Did it for a few years. Make decent enough money and eat good. Ended up loosing a truck load when the generator ran out of gas and I didn't notice. Got reprimanded pretty hard and said frick it. Glad I moved on.

Trust me, they noticed. That's why they came down so hard on me. I thought the best course of action was to move product. Wrong move.

My mother in law thought she'd be nice and bought us a big box of steaks from some dude that knocked on her door. I tried one and it was freezer burnt garbage. Threw them away and let her know I appreciate the gesture but please hold on to your money next time. She spent a couple hundred dollars on that shite.

Local guy. You see them with a large refrigerator in the bed of the truck.

There has to be enough people buying those things for it to be profitable.

What I'm wondering is if you have to go with the hard sell. In other words, do you have to be an a-hole to get the sale just so you can make a buck.

Me and the old lady went to go look for a new living room suit a few months ago and a salesman jumped us worse than any used car dealer I have ever seen.

I knew I hadseen the guy before and it took me a few days to place him. It finally hit me that he was the same guy that had laid out an entire side of beef on my fronts steps a year or so earlier.

The day he was giving me the hard sell on the 300lbs of meat he told me he was knocking down $150k a year because his meat was so awesome.

I guess couch jockeys must really be killing it for him to give up a $150k job.

In the beginning stages of my grandmothers dementia, she bought $2000 worth of that shite. My dad found out and called the company up and they told him to frick off. He stopped payment on the check and they came and picked up their crap.

it's a shite product. Ever passed a dollar general and saw the $3 ribeye banner and wondered? Well this is it but they charge more and market it as world class.

Sounds too close to Obama steaks for me to try it, ain't gonna happen. They set up on my business property one time panhandling their steaks. I told them they can't operate on my business property. They gave a couple steaks to my employees to try and they said it wasn't worth much.

A friend did it when he was desperate for work.

He quit after just a few days because he felt like they focused on scamming elderly customers. Said he was ashamed.

Google door-to-door meat salesmen. The first thing that comes up is a USDA warning sheet. Most of the other results are news stories about unhappy customers, BBB warnings, and the like.

Somebody actually came by the office other day selling steaks like that. Thought it was weird and I wasn't about to buy steaks from some sketchy looking door to door salesman.

When I was little, a truck came through the neighborhood selling those. Side of the truck said "No one can beat our meat".

One of my old roommates bought these things all the time. She was convinced "her guy" was giving her some awesome deal. One night she thawed some out and made them. They were really bad. Whenever she would say it was gonna be steak night, I took a long night out.
