Anybody ever make a successful hookup?

A good friend of mine just wrote me a heartwarming email after having his second kid.
He and his wife were two of my best friends from college. She and I used to karaoke on Wednesdays; one day I told her she needed to meet a buddy of mine. I brought him with the next week, and immediately they hit it off and started dating.
12 years and two kids later they’re still doing great.

A friend of mine in the old office asked me one day if I knew a nice guy for her to meet. I just happened to have been playing amateur senior baseball with a team mate who was asking the same about a nice lady. I introduced them, they hit it off very nicely, and they are married for almost 20 years now. Awesome!
