Anybody else have a hard time saying NO to a great deal?

I'll buy a guitar if the price is good. I'm a lefty so every once in awhile you find someone desperate to unload a lefty guitar.

I don't think it unreasonable to assume that a pilot of an airline can come across a handful of lounge passes from said airline from time to time. And of course he wouldn't need to use them. That's why he made himself sone money selling them.

I'm pretty sure I've spoken with off-duty pilots in Delta sky clubs, FWIW. I wouldn't assume they'd need a pass to get in. Maybe their families do, though.

I don't really care how he got them, I assume a perk of the job. Maybe his bosses gave him a handful of passes for family and friends and he didn't need them.

If he gets more I'll buy those too. We like to show little tokens of appreciation to our customers. Layovers suck, maybe these little gifts will help strengthen our relationships w/ those that pay us well.

It actually helps his airline too. If someone that doesn't normally fly United has a good experience in their lounge that might be the deciding factor w/ who they'll fly with next time. I'm sure they know that and these were probably comp passes that they give out for the purpose of getting new people through the door.

I've bought them on eBay for $12, better than $50 or $400 for the year.

Well OP, to answer the question it's no. I used to be that way until I had to move and realized how much BS I'd acquired from great deals. IDk the severity of your problem but a coworker of mine has this problem X10. Makes well over 100k and is constantly in credit card debt because when he sees a sale sign he's swiping. Doesn't matter if he needs it, already has multipes, or if it's $5 off. He's buying it.

Yeah I actually meant pilots on leisure travel. Maybe it's one of those "it's against the rules but no one really cares" deals.

Not sure. I just don't think a pilot having some lounge passes is some unbelievable claim.
