I'm not a crazy hoarder or racking up debt, I save a big % of my income. I'll get a little obsessive though when hunting a deal.
I needed some new fresh ties, I don't really need to wear suits, but I like to. I didn't want to spend $125+ on fashion brand ties, didn't want to spend $40 a tie from a retail store. I checked out amazon and ebay for some deals and found a chinese seller on ebay and got 15 ties for just over $45. Good sensible, fashionable ties that I probably won't wear that often. I spent way too long pouring over pages of ties. I'm not a retail therapy person but I do enjoy a good deal. I didn't need or want 15 ties but it kinda snowballed.
If I could find some mud tires for my Bronco for less than $190 each I'd be all over that in an instant. $238 for Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ at wally world.com is the best I've found so far.

If you fly a lot, it's worth the $400 for the year. I've had enough free beer and bloody marys in the past year to pay to pay my membership 2 or 3 times over. Airport bars are expensive. And the ability to not sit with the common folk on long layovers is a huge bonus.
And to answer the original question, I say no almost constantly. If I don't want the item before I saw the deal, I pass it up.

My brother has been a shrimper and shrimp boat captain all of his life. I keep cash on hand to buy awesome shite from these fools all the time. I used to shrimp during summer vacation in school and bought my first two vehicles from burnt out dope fiend captains in Golden Meadow the summer before my sophmpre year in 1985; a 1969 SS/RS 396/350HP camaro convertible and a 1983 CJ7. That hooked me on buying cheap shite right there. I still own both of those. Shrimpers, crack heads and meth addicts are a man's best friend when looking to buy high quality shite on the cheap.

Thanks for the tip, what part of the year are shrimpers in the biggest bind?

Pretty much anytime; after winter when they all have been working in Key West for 3 months is good. I bought an almost brand new Polaris ATV last year from one. They just opened exports form Asia again as well.
