The election of Clay Higgins made me want to move, but I'll probably get over it. I don't think the dipshit YouTube cop can hurt my pursuit of happiness all that much.

Never take that for granted on parade routes
Have a buddy who lives on Magazine St and a few parades pass right in front of his place. Caught a parade there once and we all were sitting on the porch drinking and I couldn't believe how many random strangers would walk up to us and ask if they could go inside to use his bathroom...especially since there was a church with port-a-potties right across the street that had signs up advertising toilets for $2 or $3 per use or selling all-day wristbands for like $10

Got out last year. Looking like a great decision.

You folks need to quit posting and just GTFO of my state and off the LSU/LA based Tigerdroppings.
Yeah I always found that dynamic interesting. They leave Louisiana cause its just oh so terrible here yet spend all of their time on a Louisiana based web site talking to the very people they claimed they had to get away from.

I moved to Seattle a couple years ago and am really happy with my decision. Obviously Seattle doesn't appeal to the God fearing/busch light drinking/camouflage wearing element of Louisiana, but for me it was the perfect place to end up.
Sometimes I miss Louisiana, but if you're thinking about leaving you should do it. There's a lot to see.

Let's be real - the people on this website aren't the type of people we're trying to get away from.

DFW is definitely much cleaner than houston, if that's a requirement for you
wasn't for me, and i love the H now.
I'm a little biased but DFW is awesome. The suburbs north of Dallas and west of Fort Worth are some of the best in the country. The infrastructure is updated constantly. After I graduate I plan on buying a house in Frisco or Plano. Plano is the cleanest city in the region.

getting out before SWB drives me nuts and steals all my money
If you're seriously considering moving to the Tomball area, don't go further north on 249 than Vintage Park in Cypress. More stuff to do and saves 20 minutes from commute when you decide to go downtown.
Source: from Tomball originally, it is not a source of excitement for young professionals.

Lol you sound like a fricking idiot. Your handle suits you perfectly.
Dude moved to Seattle because it's badass. I've been out there and it's absolutely beautiful. I know you're probably not secure enough in your manhood to use a word like that so here goes... it Purrdee... seriously, you should check it out sometime.
Also, Starbucks is good AF dude. Strongest coffee you can get from a chain.

Yeah, as soon as I find a job elsewhere I'm gone... Don't outright hate Louisiana and still love LSU, but I need a change. Location TBD

Thanks for the insight! Trying to find a place to live suuuuucks when I don't know the area.
the only area I'm interested in around Tomball east of willowbrook mall down 1960.
more interested in the Cy-fair. Closer to the office and places to go. Wherever I go, I'm renting for at least a year or two to get a feel for the area before buying.
