Anybody else feel like it never ends with expenses?

Two weeks ago, both car AC started blowing hot air. I fixed mine, it was the belt. But my wife’s was the compressor.
I bought one online and installed it myself, fricking bear to say the least. Took 6 hours across two days, I’m no mechanic but watch YouTube videos.
Well, when I take it to fill up Freon they say compressor isn’t drawing power. So frick, we’ve got some long trips with the kids ahead and need AC. So I buy a new compressor and have them install. $2200
Wasted 6 hours of my life then paid full price anyways. frick me
Today, my wife’s phone won’t charge and it’s been that way for a week. So she buys a new IPhone 15. . frick me
I get home tonight after hanging with some friends and my ac is at 74 when it’s set to 70. I just cleaned the filter a couple weeks ago. My unit is like 17 years old so I guess it’s gone to shite too. Guess I’ll have to finance that shite for a new unit as well. frick me.
New cars are needed, in addition to the AC problems they’re just old. So we need new ones. frick me.
Somebody play Daryl Worley’s “Sounds like life to me” cause everything is fricking broke. Can I get a break please Lord?

I know what you mean. I’ve not had that run of bad luck but sometimes when paying expenses each month I just shake my head and wonder when the hell will it end. Of course I know it won’t.

Sounds like you need a better paying job if you need new cars and iPhone 15s. My iPhone 13 works incredibly well.

No, because it doesn't. and it won't.
That's part of life.
You either deal with it or complain about it.

Look at the bright side, your hot dog 4th of July meal was only up 48 cents

Yep. It's always something. Usually arriving in multiples. One can only hope for enough time in between events to lessen the financial hit.
(One of those hits just also happened to be an A/C kit replacement to the tune of $1300 last week.)

Yup. Not drawing power? Was it an electric car?
Belt compressor won’t engage until you first pressure up the system with some refrigerant. If it still doesn’t, probably needs a $10 clutch or switch.

Dropped $2000 on tires and brakes for my daughters car. Another few hundred on 100k maintenance. 2 months later engine froze up because no oil. No idiot lights, no leaks, nothing. Had to buy something so she could get to work. Plus youngest starting college and it’s a $1,000 for his parking pass.

Yea his wife could have gotten a cheaper phone.
I quit buying the top of the line phone. What's great about Android is you can get a good inexpensive phone like the One Plus for like $400.

I found that it never stops and no matter how you budget or how you save, something will occur that has never occurred before and be something that there was no way to account for that and then you are right back to not having extra money set aside cause you just used it.)
