Balcony or bust at the Ryman for me.

Acoustics are so good. I saw Chappelle do stand up there and he didn't need the mic.

We go a lot. It's also great because you get drunk at the show, walk outside and you're on Broadway.

Are you watching a concert at the Ryman or going to see the Grand Old Opry? They're not the same thing anymore.

It's possible to see the Grand Ole Opry at the Ryman still, they do play there a couple of weeks a year, but tickets are pretty tough to get for those shows.

The new giant grand ole opry building is a tourist trap at a mall 20 miles away from the heart of the city.

Except it's a good venue that gets good shows.

I was there over the summer. It is a cool experience because of the history of the place. The seats are uncomfortable and the acoustics are a nightmare for the sound guys. I'm not a huge fan of concerts in general, but I had a great time there.

I went to Marty Stewart's All Night Jam during a FanFest 7/8 years ago. It was amazing.

Those pews are uncomfortable AF, though.
