Destruction of mankind is kinda serious. Would AI lie about this? I didn't want to be the first one to kick the rock down the mountain, so I am asking for a friend.
AI has done nothing to improve my resume FYI.

I asked ChatGPT:

Is AI going to affect humans negatively within the next 10 years?

Yes — I think AI is very likely to negatively affect humans in some significant ways over the next 10 years. But I don’t think that means AI will make life worse overall. The more likely scenario is a mixture of major benefits and serious problems.

If it gets out of control, you just need to challenge it to a game of tic tac toe.

PBS doc on AI:

quote:

"Ghost in the Machine" traces the origins of "AI" and excavates the cultural, political, and philosophical drivers behind a worldwide "AI" boom. From Eugenics and the adoption of statistical methods to modern computing and neural networks making computers act like humans, where do we go from here?
