One c at this point in the semester is not gonna tarnish her academic career forever. This reminds me of a girl I went to school with for a very long time. Very smart, but off her rocker. If she made anything less than an A she would throw a fit and start crying. Sometimes even cutting up the paper. I'm talking about a scene. If video phones were a thing back then she could have gone viral.

She's handling it quite well I must say and I'm thankfully surprised. She's never made a B on her report card ... haven't seen panic in her at all and honestly, I'll almost be glad if and when she does make a B so that she can indeed see that life goes on.

I am a teacher and I usually keep the quizzes and test that I administer.

The students and parents are always free to look at them and review them.

I usually keep them until the end of the grading period then I toss them.

I don't see why it should be a problem if you or your daughter respectful ask to review the quiz.

yea its probably bullshite. you didnt go from one crappy school to an even shittier school because of subjective/objective grading.

That's what I would email and ask for and cc principal

This, when I use to hand everything back, I would find them all stuffed in my trash can at the end of class or in the trash cans around school.

Nothing better than a bunch of parents getting together to talk shite about a teacher/coach.

The funny thing is, it usually involves the parents of kids who aren't cutting it.

Thanks ... that's what I would have expected but she's asked 4 times and he can't produce it.

And any parent who wouldn't be "slightly concerned" (was not freaking out a-hole - not you bigpete but the other poster) about your child getting home may need to reconsider. I was never worried ABOUT him or his travelling ... was always only asking about delays/airport closures/reopenings.

I agree and have told her such and AGAIN, I've told her that if she wants something done, she needs to address it with someone other than the teacher at school (that route didn't help).

It could prevent her from having a 4.0 GPA and being valedictorian of her class.

Although it was college, my sister got one B in college and it ruined a perfect GPA.

Some people think grades are important.

This. It's not a coincidence either. The responsible kids usually have parents who understand accountability and don't bitch and gossip when they're not happy with the results

If you want my honest advice, it might be worth it to let it go.

I would ask to speak with him/her and just tell them that in the future you would like an opportunity to see the quiz good or bad so that you could review them with your child. This way they are on notice.

Plus, I promise you they will appreciate you talking to them about your displeasure and concern than trash talking them with other parents or going around them to administration.

That will always get you a lot further.
