A lot of people will talk shite about them but they are some of the best and most reliable cars out there
Were…before they went to CVT.

My wife has decided she wants a Subaru for some reason and I’m not very familiar with them.
This should be a major warning sign that your wife is cheating on you with a woman.

We have a 2020 Ascent that we love. No issues with it 3 years in.

I live in a mandatory Subaru, granola, bike rack area. Always snubbed my nose at them and drove the wheels off a ‘99 Cherokee.
Got a 2018 Outback a couple years ago and it’s the best car I’ve ever had. And I have a bike rack now but it’s removable.

You realize you just defeated your own argument, right? No one should have to do head gaskets at 105k. I've had Hondas and Toyotas that went to 300k and all I did was oil changes.
Well I’m not arguing with anyone so there’s that. Also, I stated I’m front that there were head gasket issues on certain model years. I think I paid $1800 for all belts including timing and water pump and peace of mind with the gaskets. That also included two seatbelts that my dog had chewed up.
And that’s all I’ve ever done to the car. Since 2008. I think one simple brake job ever.
Its standard AWD is superior and the premium for Toyotas cancels out the $1800 I described. Also tell me how much a Toyota-authorized shop would charge for just the belts and water pump. Again those were preventative.
I love Toyota trucks and am in the market for one now. So not a knock or contest.
Fun fact: Toyota owns a small stake in Subaru’s parent co and they are partners on some models.

You can’t throw a rock in Asheville, NC without hitting a lesbian in a Subaru.
Facts.
Facts.

I've had a Subaru Forester for about six years now and love it. If you live in the snow belt you will see a lot of them. When I lived in Denver it wasn't uncommon to have three of them in front of you at a traffic light. They are among the best AWD vehicles and when traction law is in affect you have to have AWD, chains, or snow tires. When I moved back to Louisiana I found that AWD was very useful to have traction on mud that we have a lot of down here.
Subaru used to build Camry's at one of their plants. This speaks volumes about Subaru manufacturing and quality.

They are solid from what I know. They are also solidly owned by carpet munchers, does your wife have any oddly close girl friends?

So dumb. I live in one of the most conservative areas in the country and there are Subarus everywhere here. We’re less than an hour from Asheville and avoid it.
We spend a few months a year in Montana, and they’re far and away the most driven car even in the sticks where no lesbian hath seen the light o day.

If by Suburu you really mean a 68 Charger R/T then yes I do.

the only time I notice them is when they are in a committed relationship to the left lane going 10 miles under the speed limit, which gives me time to read all their gay bumper stickers, then eventually I get to see if its a lesbian or a lanky dude with a flourishing neck beard. NOTHING ELSE IS AN OPTION. get out my way you vagina drivers

Have had an Outback for 7 years. Just hit 100k miles. Only had 1 issue that was covered by warranty. Other than that, it has been an excellent car in every condition. I’ve gone through unplowed snow and it made it through. I was nervous as frick but the AWD did its job. My next car will be another Outback.

We still have a 2015 Subaru Outback that we bought new. It's been a great SUV. It drives well on trips as well as on our rutted out gravel county road.
