That's cool as hell.

I have never liked birds but it could be because the first time I got shot it was because of a damned chicken.

Can you take a bird out and play with it without it crapping all over? I recall seeing a bird on Letterman that would crap on command.

We are mid way into pottty training right now actually. You basically give a word or phrase in association with a place where you want the bird to go do his business.

Here's another pic...

This is what happened to me.

The OP's conure is beautiful. We had an azure conure named Pud. Hated me, loved my husband. Would wedge his tail on the perch and shoot shite at me.

Thought of you. 22 month old Hyacinth macaw parrot for adoption on craiglist. Check the Lake Charles craiglist under pets.

Thanks! I check the rescue sites pretty regularly but forget to search craigslist. Gonna go have a look but it'd be a pretty tough sale with the wife right now
Now if a nice hand tamed quaker shows up one day I could probably push that through!

I love ducks and doves. Robin's are really good to, but it's frowned upon to kill and eat them.

Had a blue front amazon (not the one in the pic) for several years. She was a rescue from a house next door to the police station. She could mimic a siren and make you think there were 6 squad cars in the dining room. Had 3 Alexandrines and as well. Fascinating creatures.

I have one of these. I found him when he was a baby. We were camping in SE Arkansas and I guess he fell out the nest or something. I took him home and raised him.

You have a pet woodpecker?

Is it one of those giant ones that's a foot tall?

It's about 20 inches tall.

He pecks all fricking night though, so I may kill him

Do you know that those things are on the endangered list (I think?) in some states? I went to a beautiful museum in Birmingham and they have a stuffed one next to a bald eagle!
They had a plaque saying if you ever see one you should let a w&f agent know so they can record it.

What does it peck on?
