Trying to buy new pair of readers via insurance without leaving the house. Make it happen.

Yes. You need a current prescription though.

You can get readers damn near anywhere for less than $5

It’s very easy as long as you have a current prescription. If not, you need to schedule an eye exam with an optometrist.

True, but they don’t have every prescription.

I'm looking for an online teledoc that will write an eye prescription if such things exist

Correct, but if you want an Rx reader you have to have an Rx. An OTC reader may get him by until he feels comfortable enough to go to a doc.

You may be able to call your prev doc and ask them to extend your prev Rx bc you don't feel comfortable going into the office

I wouldn’t think so. They need to see you in person for a proper eye exam.

There are some places you may be able to find that do this, but IMO the technology is not as legit as they claim it to be. You're better off waiting until you feel comfortable going into a doc's office

This is your best bet if you cant get an appointment, but most eye clinics are back open in Louisiana.

Can confirm Zenni does not require a doc prescription.

Don’t automatically go chasing the next prescription. Work on your eyes or you’ll end up I coke bottle glasses by the time you’re 80.
