I bought a 2017 GT back in Feb and I love it. No complaints whatsoever.

It's got a neutron bomb under your right foot.

Sync 3 works very well.

Nicely finished interior.

Not the first squeak or rattle.

Will run circles around the previous generation with the IRS vs solid axle.

The Camaro is a super nice car too. I don't think you'd be sorry with either one. Look for which has the best discounts and go for it.

Camaro has turned into a real sports car.

Unfortunately it also has gotten pretty useless for anything more than 2 passengers.

If you need a 4 person Chevy sports car, check out the SS sedan. Pretty bad arse car.

The Mustang is only slightly more accommodating, but neither one of them is a true 2+2.

Mustang better in every way. No competition. Would way rather drive a car that’s somewhat nimble than that poo Chevy cow.

I hope the OP has sense enough to ignore any blanket comments like this.

The Camaro is a helluva car. No shame in owning either one.

The unanimous agreement you see in reviews that I've found to be true is the Mustang is easier to live with day to day, with it's roomier interior and better view out the car.

But the Camaro gives up nothing in the performance area. They both haul fricking arse.

Are you looking at a mustang for your daughter? And a Camaro for your groundskeeper?

To me this is a bit like the PS4 Vs Xbox One debate. Neither one is a shitty device, buy which one you want and enjoy it. Who gives a shite what other people think?

Of course, anyone who drives a Mustang with automatic transmission should be shot and left on the side of the road as a warning to others.

Holy shite, the ignorance never ceases.

A modern automatic is a wonder to drive.

Especially when it's a unit like Ford's new 10 speed paddle shift unit that is available in the 2018 Mustang.

Seriously, this monster has so much power and so much torque that a computerized automatic is actually a better choice than a conventional stick if you want the best performance, it can perform shifts faster than even the best professional driver.

Manual transmission enthusiasts will always prefer the feel of driving a manual and acknowledge the fact that the newer automatic transmissions are quicker.

It amazes me how dumb some people are to actually pay that much so they can get a special "Ford Mustang" lighting scheme that is just advertising for Ford. My salesman was noticeably disappointed that I insisted on the base model and didn't want any extras.

I would never buy a base model.

I like my nicer interior. I like the good stereo. I like the electronic bells and whistles. They were worth every penny to me.

Awesome car, and dealers are basically giving them away right now. Hands down, just about the best value you can get on a performance car today.

And that's fine. Heck I have a 2015 Focus with the 6 speed I love that car, i like to row the gears. But the clown above said that anyone who buys an automatic Mustang should be shot. Yeah shooting a person who buys the superior transmission makes sense.

I have driven both in the last month a Camaro SS Convertible and a Mustang 5.0 (Not GT) and they are both cat quick.

The Camaro was faster and had more power (but it was an SS) but the sight lines/vision out of it sucked! I mean it is really bad to see out of.

The Mustang didn't have as much raw power, but it was fast as well and you could actually see out of it.

I bought my kid a '17 GT California Special last year. It's a nice looking car, but despite the 435 hp, it feels slow compared to the Vette I had. Granted, it's an auto and I haven't put it in tack mode, just shift into sport mode occasionally. Rear end feels loose when you get on it also, though I haven't put it on the track yet. I'm a diehard for manual, but for the kid the auto trans is one less thing for him to think about while driving.
