Yes, really. All you have to provide for a spouse is name, date of birth, place and date of marriage, social security number, and prior marital history. For kids, all you have to give is name, date and place of birth, social, and if biological or stepchild etc. The o oh time you have to provide proof is if you say the child is adopted.

No sleep apnea for me, but yes for PTSD.

Now that you say that, I dont remember showing any vital documents for my kids and wife.

That is bullshite if people are doing that.

They allow you to have your kids on your award even if they don’t live with you at all. Like I said earlier, due to the older vets getting screwed, it has made it easier now for everything.

I was Army in Afghanistan in the early 2000’s. If you ever have any questions about the VA, just call me out on here.

Will do. Ive been out since 2016 after 11 years. Did Iraq x 2, and Afg.

My last procedure rated 60 days convolesant leave and when it got to the flight surgon (our unit doc), they sent me to WWBN. I didnt want to go. I found out through personal email. Once I got there I was told, you are starting a med board, you will get evauluated to see if you are staying in or going on Medboard. After their doc evaulated me, he said, nope youre getting out. That was it. Waited a year doing appointments, going to a formation for 10 mins, going home and drinking and repeating for a year plus. I did do swimming every day and played golf in a leg cast

But I was there. With many others. You see the guys who are real and who are bullshite. Who has drama and who doesnt. And that is speaking E-1 to E-9. Its a crazy world there and I know its no different in Army WTB.

Also, my treatment was done by civilian and then like i said earlier, I even got treated by the Army in San Antonio. There I see even more people and hear more stories and doctors and what not.

But I did see kids from MCT, right after boot camp at WWBN for mental health issues. They get higher than 10 year guys like me. You are right it isnt perfect.

Would love to. You can't apply for retirement once an MEB starts though.

Is there any early retirement option? The only bad thing about that would be paying the VA back until paid off.

But it could buy you more time. Also you can always challenge your results. That will probably give you 6 months. In that time, make doctors appointments and set up transition.

Making it to 20 is the only option that I'm interested in...although I'm preparing for other outcomes

Sorry, I'm watching the olympics right now and super distracted. My bad

As I understand it, pending decision approval means what it sounds like. A decision has been rendered but it hasn't been finalized. Perhaps due to dotting i's/crossing t's with regard to either severance compensation or a new assigment/updated orders. No way to really tell ahead of time on our end.

Hmmm, sounds like you might work in a VA claims office somewhere.
