The arthritis won’t be that high of a percent. Remember this also, if you get disability severance, you might have to pay it back if you get VA Comp. It will depend on percentages assigned.

Then you better find what you are entitled to (Med Board/20yrs/Concurrent Reciept) in the Airforce. What ever manual, retirement shite is in, should have med board and what you are entitled to. Need to look that up asap. If you have a unit like the Marine Corps has Wounded Warrior Bn, find that place and get a hold of them. You do rate the same services going through your medboard as others rate who aren't in their physical job. Lots of transitional assistance. Stuff as small as someone preparing you a federal resume, you rate. I had to go to all kinds of transition seminars and trips. I met lots of cool people and many OT ballers who were around visiting. Was different being a Marine and being treated at San Antonio Military Medical Center, but again, shite like that, you rate. Just telling you incase you do get to extend till 20.

I know a guy who gets $1600 a month in Army, i think, disability benefits and works full time as an electrician.

It's honestly no one's business if they've never served. It's something that has been put in place.

There are some things that are very easy to get service connected for and all you have to do is lie. The problem is in the past, Veterans that really needed it got screwed over. As a result, there were lawsuits. This makes it easier now.

Yes but there is a big difference between being service connected and being service connected at a compensable degree. Plenty of things get service connected at 0%, so no money in that. Veterans know what the big ones are like PTSD and sleep apnea. Even worse than that is the ability to add your dependents. You don’t have to provide any proof that a child is yours or even that you are really married.
