Springfield is a nice small to mid-sized city, and Missouri State is actually larger than several SEC schools. As another poster said, the outdoors opportunities nearby are fantastic. I wouldn’t hesitate to live there.

Grandparents lived there. Dad grew up there. Believe it or not, it has gotten a ton bigger in the last 10 to 20 years. It's a fine spot. Nothing to write home about. Near the Ozarks and some great lakes and fishing. Terrific hunting, too. Decent food and drink opportunities. Cheap to live there. But definitely not a dynamic city. Has some youth, though, which is nice. I'd live there given the right opportunity.

That Bass Pro Shop is ridiculous. I've never seen anything like it. It also has the best aquarium I've ever seen anywhere. Period. It blows everything else I've ever seen clean out of the water.

Be careful on those roundabouts. Lots of hicks coming over from Branson, that don't know how to navigate them, will be picking up folks at the Springfield airport.

It’s a nice town, for the most part. Lots of outdoor activities, pretty scenery. Reminds me of Monroe LA.

I was just accepted into a graduate school there. I’m from Mississippi, and don’t really know anything about Springfield at all. Is it a cool place to live?

Moved to downtown Springfield from Gulfport, MS around a year ago.

Have to go there a few times per year for business. Flame downtown is top 5 steaks I’ve ever had. SF has good local beer too.
