Pretty sure it's just a cheap brand of vanilla (?) cavendish.

When I was a teenager working at Kmart, they used to stock the stuff. I'd always go over and pick up a pack just to smell it.

Yeap Captain blacks original is probably the most recognized pipe tabacoo smell. Carter Hall is another one that lots of folks smoked back in the day.

But the market has expanded and there are really some nice blends out today. But I still enjoy Captain Black from time to time

Does getting punched in the cheekbone go with this pipe culture?

I do sometimes. I got a buddy that is deep into this. He has 100’s of pipes and tobacco flavors. It’s insane.

My buddy has a smoke shed behind his house. A group of pastors meet there once a week to smoke cigars and pipes and talk theology. It’s a good time but the second hand smoke alone is enough to give a horse cancer.

I really enjoyed smoking a tobacco pipe, but it got the the point that I was spending all of my time in the garage or on the back porch, and I smelled heavily like it unless I constantly took showers. So I just quit cold turkey.

Here is a portion of my buddy’s pipe tobacco. I could just read the names of the blends all day.

My dad and grandpa both smoked pipes and I have tried it but if you dont know what you're doing, you'll burn the hell out of your tongue.

If you're ever in Columbia, SC Town Centre Tobacco in Northeast Columbia is a great place to visit.

That's one of the reasons why I'm looking to make the switch.

The only real way to enjoy nicotine without smelling/feeling disgusting IMO is vaping/ecigarettes. But I don't think any vape juice has perfected mimicking real tobacco flavor.

I did when I was 27 yrs old. I loved the aromas from some tobaccos. I did. It like the bite on the tongue nor the aftertaste. It did look cool though. I did not smoke a pipe more than a couple months, did not smoke cigs nor stogies.

Dude is a collector. He’ll buy a huge lot of pipes keep a few and restore some and sell them. He only has $100 invested in his original pipes and has built a collection worth many thousands of dollars. He has a good eye. He has 4 little girls so I think his smoke shed is his last manly retreat and it is impressive to behold.
