Any of you baws into car audio?

Now that I have garage space to work, thinking of ditching the mundane factory system in my 06 Civic SI coupe and installing something nice. I've ripped out and replaced head units previously, but never done a full-scale repower of the system.
The car has a 6 speaker setup with space for an 8" sub in the deck. Thinking of powering the dome tweeters and front door mids with a 4 channel amp, a 10" box sub in the trunk with a mono amp, then the rear deck (including the factory sub, which is weak to begin with) coming off the head unit wiring. Would obviously need to use crossovers for the tweeters, since the head unit is only putting out 1 channel for both sets of front speakers.
Any of y'all have experience doing this and can tell me if my line of thinking makes sense?
And no, I won't be driving this car into the city and parking it there, so I'm not afraid of the shite being stolen.

No but I did get my truck lifted yesterday to go with my small wiener. Used to be into Audio stuff back in the day but grew out of it. Thought I had grown out of lifted diesels but apparently that hasn’t happened yet

If you want better sound, remove your seats, carpeting, door panels and headliner. Then install Dynamat sound deadening everywhere and reinstall everything. Chances are real good that you will realize you really had good sound to begin with, but road and wind noise masked it.

You're going to get roasted here by the baws who are going to call you trashy. Nonetheless, I enjoy car audio myself.
Currently in my Jeep:
-Kenwood Excelon Headunit
-Polk DB6502 Components in the Soundbar and Dash
-JL 400/4 for the Components
-Alpine S-A60M for the subs
-2 Sundown E8s, 1.3 c/ft at 35 hz w/ 20 inches of port area
Sounds excellent and balanced to me.
As a heads up, Hondas are wonky with new headunits. You may lose hvac and steering wheel controls unless you bury the factory headunit. I know that's the case for pretty much any Accord 9th gen and up.

Don't hate, the thing is a blast to drive and gets good mileage for a performance car.

Did you rewire all of your speakers or tap into the factory wiring?
Also, the iDatalink Maestro module thankfully allows you to retain all of the factory buttons on the steering wheel.

Make sure you upgrade to the dual muffler, quad tail pipes so your Civic sounds like a Hayabusa from 5 blocks away.

One of my happiest memories was 16y old me hooking up 1994 Plymouth Sundance (black cherry) with Kenwood rec with detachable face plate and replacing factory speakers with Kenwood. I did not up power so do t know the app game.
My truck is nice to me but part of me wants to recapture the magic
I want a alpine that has the eq bar there moves with the music lol

I have always had an aftermarket system in every vehicle I had. I just bought a new GMC. Put lift, rims and tires. I can't wait to put a Rogue Acoustic system. I enjoy quality sound. I'm 46 years old and am in a serious mid life crisis. Haters gonna hate!!!!

The alligator skin inserts are a nice touch.

When I had to replace the speakers in my old truck, Crutchfield was extremely helpful. They even included directions on how to remove the door panels.
