Not a bad area, but not opulent like you find further south.

The upshot of that is that property is very affordable relative to West Palm, etc but you also have a much wider mix of people.

As mentioned before water quality is nothing like the gulf, but the surfing is some of the best on the east coast.

The whole area is very relaxed with a mix of people from all over including the inevitable NE retiree types and surfer types.

If he has kids this is a good school LINK

In Melbourne or Palm Bay or West Melbourne. If he has the dough for the taxes and homes across the causeway. LINK

Don’t interpret your not knowing as meaning that no one knows. “Space Coast” is a clear giveaway.

If you can, move to the island. Melbourne beach is paradise on earth to me. FIT for grad school after LSU.

The surf was top notch this week and with the wind shift, we’ve caught snook and whiting on the beach all day. Someone remind me how to post a pic and I’ll share some views - yes, I’ll share a few chicks.

Top notch surfing.

Note: avoid cocoa and cocoa beach.

The further you travel down Wickham road, the stranger it gets.

Palm Bay i always called the United Nations of Florida, you find every race, culture, peep in that area. Just on one buddies street, 10 houses, you had jamaicans, cubans, asians, europeans, etc. And everyone would party with each other for their celebrations. MY cousin always searched out the Jamaicans when they were partying, as he was looking for the man with the fattest joint to hit.

If you move to Melbourne, tell me if the guy who dresses as Jesus, and walks down Wickham with a huge cross is still doing it. It was a sight to see, he'd do it 4-5 times a week.

Oh, and nearly everyone has a pet greyhound, as they adopted them from local track that i believe is only open for poker and ponies.
