Dear Lord you’re all a bunch of gaping vaginas. You act like all life should come to screeching halt if the temperature isn’t above 50 degrees.

I lived there for a year and my wife grew up there.

The winters arent bad at all. The dreary gray and lack of sunshine is northern Ohio, not Columbus. There is plenty of green grass, trees, and sunshine most of the year.

Its has all the amenities and benefits of a big city with a more practical midwestern atmosphere and friendly people.

Wouldnt mind living there full time at all.

It's been a mild winter here in Cbus. Probably only a few days in the teens. 54° this Sunday.

Winters pretty chilly across most of the country. Columubus, OH ranks pretty low in terms of brutal winters when compared to most of the northern states.

My company was headquartered in Dublin so I travelled to the area a lot over 30 years. It’s a really good place. A lot of our HQ folks were natives and I got along well with them. Also, a great sports town with many options. Sometimes I regret turning down a couple of chances to move there.

Columbus is nice. The suburbs are booming and nice. But the downfall is, it is the home of OSU. Better buy some jerseys OP

I lived in Cincinnati during the Timothy Thomas Riots of ‘01... spent a lot of time across the river in Covington, KY for those few weeks.

You realize there are cold weather outdoor activities, right? In fact there's an entire Olympics devoted to it.

Many people don't see to understand that if you dress appropriately and are active when outside in the cold it's not generally uncomfortable. It's only bad if you stand around doing nothing with a cold beer in your hands like we do at tailgates.

Of course, this is all based on wind conditions. If it's windy AF all bets are off.

Columbus isn't that cold

Average highs are above 50 every month other than Dec, Jan, Feb.

My company has a facility in Dublin, OH. I spent a week there last year. Columbus is a nice city. Plenty of good looking women. The food there was good, but not great. I had a chance to take in a Clippers game while I was there. Ballpark was one of the best minor league parks I've ever been to and the crowd was fantastic. The Buckeye shite gets old pretty quick.

The people there are nice, but not southern. I was a little unnerved by how flat the area is. Birmingham is a mountain town comparatively. There are several rivers that run through town. I hope to get back there when it's warmer and do some float trips.

The Scioto Greenway project was the largest greenspace project in of its size for an urban core a few years ago. The Scioto River runs right through downtown Columbus. Decades ago, they built a dam and it made the water brown and stagnant. A few years ago they demolished the dam and made the river free flowing again. In the process, the river dropped about 10-15 feet and revealed hundreds of acres of river front that Columbus turned into a beautiful green park in the heart of the city. Literally one of my favorite things the city of Columbus has EVER done!

Hyperbole much?

The average monthly high is above 60 7 months a year and the average monthly high above 50 for 9 months.

NHL hockey in person is fricking awesome. It shits all over the NBA, soccer, baseball, and has more consistent intensity than the NFL. And the playoffs are second to none.

Speaking of Hockey.... i may be biased, but Nationwide Arena is second to none in the NHL. Its a fantastic arena in a GREAT location. Plenty of dining and entertainment to make a whole evening.
