Any news on how long it’s going to take to process unemployment claims?

I hear that it’s usually about two weeks under normal conditions. These are far from normal conditions, plus you have the federal supplement. I doubt seriously that the state has increased personnel that are handling claims, either.

The call center has been down for 5 hrs. Anybody know what the hell is going on?
So my friend did hers last week and she’s already getting benefits. I made one stupid mistake and I still have “unresolved issues.” I called last week and thought I fixed it but apparently not and whoever answered the phone was super rude

Add to the crush of La. unemployment claims the Fed.unemployment claims which will be processed through the State's system. Trump said yesterday that he had preferred to process the Fed. claims through the Fed. system but went with the advice not to do that.He said he was concerned that most states' system are antiquated & will not be able to handle the massive numbers.

You should be receiving your first check about the time these "stay at home" orders (suggestions?) are lifted. So June 1st at the soonest, January 2021 at the latest.

The NYS system is fricking broken.
They said that they average ~20k calls over around 4 days and last week they got 6M calls...

UI apps are normally instantly uploaded into the primary program.. There are laws which regulate this stuff. Ours process overnight

I'm getting the same thing. Apparently I am supposed to wait til my designated day (wednesday) to call. Also got a message on this week's claim saying I wouldn't be paid due to "excessive earnings ". Not sure what that's about. Not unemployed but applying for partial due to a "temporary pay cut ".
