They scan the barcode on the receipt and you will be refunded the same way you paid for it. Hopefully they won't charge you a "restocking fee" for returned electronics like some stores' return policies state.

Go stand by the registers and wait for someone to pay cash then walk up and say "what's up, playa? Can ya help me out?" Convince them to hand over the cash if you pay the bill.

Rather have the cash.

So you never need groceries, lawn/garden stuff, outdoor equipment, electronics, home improvement stuff, or clothing for kids? Interesting.

He's in college so unless he plays football I doubt the need for kids clothing and if he starts on the football team probably has someone cutting his grass.

go to Walmart, find a cash paying customer

There's nobody shopping at Walmart with $600 cash that you'd want to approach.

They may have changed policy, but I thought for sure if you had a receipt and it was within 7 days or 30 days, and you didn't have the card you paid with, they would give you cash back for refund. Again, this may have changed or they may have a limit--someone insisting on getting $600 cash back is kinda suspicious. But I would at least try to return that iPad and get cash. Couldn't hurt.

What's your parental situation(not are they wealthy, but are they close by and cool)? My mom drops $600 at Walmart in 2 weeks. She would be disappointed that I fricked up my credit card situation, but she would buy a $600 Walmart card from me at face value. Would just take going home and a little lecture. Hell, you'd get a couple home cooked meals there while you're at it.
