Yea that's the reason I won't own another Volvo is bc I've had terrible experiences at the dealership here and the V shop.

Honestly, with the new systems on cars that can effectively self diagnose and internet forums you should try this yourself.
Buy this OBD2 adapter
Download Torque to your phone. I think it's free and will read the computer on your car through the adapter in the previous link.
Read the code that is causing your check engine light to be on.
Go to the internet and search what causes that code to come up on your car. Order part and replace.
Really, it's that easy. It's going to be some stupid little sensor or something. It's not going to be a bad crankshaft or blown head gasket. In other words it will probably be within your ability to repair it.
Give it a shot. Really it's not that hard and you get to learn a bit about your car.
You can do it.....

V shop closed two years ago. That crook
He's still open. He's over in the Stang-hi building no. It's just one guy and the last few times I sent our volvo over there it took about a week to get an appointment. I like the guy but he's not cheap.
Most shops will work on Volvo depending on which one. The 3.2 xc90 is mostly ford parts so it's an easy one. Most of the time you can get away without needing to use VIDAS.

I don't think they're there any more.

2011 Volvo s60 t6. Went to AutoZone and they were able to give me a code off the obd. The code was P0172 and says bank 1 system too rich. Could be a dirty maf sensor,02 sensor,or a cracked vaccum line. I appreciate the help and encouragement on here to self diagnose the issue.

Tell that to my Rocket V8 in my XC90.

I received a letter. The V shop closed. This was the one man operation. I called and no answer or voicemail. I used Cobbs on Acadian. Gonna try Ragusa next time I've heard good things

Based on what I've looked at it's got a high probability of being a vacuum hose. Also, it looks like Volvo was kind enough to put a sticker with a diagram of the vacuum hose routing somewhere under the hood of your car.
Once the weather clears go pop your hood and find the sticker. Once you find it, pick a hose listed on the diagram and trace it from start to finish by hand. If it's ok move on to the next one and so on. That may allow you to identify the culprit.
In the old days folks would use ether in a spray can to ID vacuum leaks. Start the car and mist the ether in various areas of the engine compartment. If your engine ran faster you found it. I would advise doing that but there are ways to do it.
Also, if you get the obd2 scanner I linked earlier you can check the performance of each of your O2 sensors individually. It will trend them as part of the software.
I wouldn't bet on it being the O2 sensor so I wouldn't concentrate on that. Start out with the vacuum leak.
At this point, you can't really hurt anything and it doesn't take special skills to look for a vacuum leak. Also, either you can do it or you can pay someone to do it. Save a few bucks and do it yourself.

Volvo is one of the few cars I would recommend going to the dealership for service. Any place you go will be going to the dealership for parts anyways.

I bought the obd reader you recommended today on Amazon and installed the paid version of the tourque app. Should be here in a few days and hopefully this horrible weather will have passed and I will be able to track down the problem. I really appreciate the time you have taken to help me with all of this. OT LOUNGE ROCKS !
