Hopefully, they don’t end up at some crappy Houma hotel. I wonder if they will end up at the Courtyard Marriott, it is not like Houma has 5 star accommodations.

Hopefully they don't book the Red Carpet Inn expecting red carpet treatment.

It's almost a shame that Ida took out the Sugar Bowl and Lake Houmas Inn

Sorry, didn’t think about posting the video since you cannot embed Facebook videos.

I just know people in Shreveport are pissed.
My first 14 minutes in Shreveport I watched from my hotel window as two Mexican construction workers in a van were robbed at knifepoint by two dindus for a Dewalt tile cutting saw.

They ought to get over it.

Yes. It's what Influencers do.

Well today they announced they are heading to Houma.

What do you think they will find down there?

Was it Ida that finished off the Lake Houmas Inn? Seemed like that place was done for way before that.

It may have been. That place was a dump my entire life. The Sugar Bowl was Ida though right?

Ida finished both of them off.

Lake Houma’s inn was torn down not long after the storm. Sugar Bowl Motel was about a year later. Someone wanted to turn the Sugar Bowl Motel into a Homeless veteran’s shelter, but nothing came about of it.

The Houma Terrebonne Housing Authority is dragging their feet on the High Apartment complex for seniors. The building is still somewhat untouched since the storm.

At this point it should be torn down and replaced with other housing stock, but the big question is who pays for it FEMA, CDBG grants, insurance, or the parish. The other issue is the design, housing has shifted from that style of apartments to more town houses that take up more space and are not 10 stories tall.

Maybe they will pass through the tunnel in Houma.

Will be salty until the Bourg Bridge reopens. I heard it is now June. I wonder if DOTD is doing on purpose to push it back so they can wait until the legislative session is over so they can hold a ribbon cutting with the governor and the local legislators.

visited a trashy Shreveport Hotel and got “saved” by Lake Charles who brought them down to stay at the L'Auberge

Pretty sure that was a stunt. Even Brits, experienced with travel, would know not to pay $200 to stay at an Econolodge in one of the worst parts of Shreveport. Three more minutes down I-20 and they could have had a lot of nice hotels to choose from.

I’m just busting your chops. I know that bridge has been out a while.
They definitely don’t get in a rush when it comes to bridge repairs.
