It could use a nicer clubhouse, 19th hole etc
Gotcha. Yeah, it's definitely a lot smaller than what CCLA has.
Although, as another poster knocked UClub's food, I have to say: CCLA doesn't exactly have spectacular food either. Sometimes the Nicklaus Room will have nice specials like Lobster Dinners, but overall it's nothing that'll knock your socks off.
ETA: And I know they just reno'd the UClub clubhouse, but they're also adding a new Rec center with a new pool, etc.

We are currently under construction building a new 4,500 square foot Sports Complex. Included will be a state of the art fitness center, tennis pro-shop, locker rooms and concession. We are adding a new leisure style pool with kids area, slide and sun deck. We are also expanding the current pool to make it competition ready. We are enclosing the current building and making it an air conditioned space to use for parties and exercise classes. We are adding two new rubico tennis courts and expanding the parking lot.

BRCC- if you want to hang out with old money BR die hards with really nice tickets in Tiger Stadium
CCLA- If you want to hang out with the guy who made bunch of money selling Relief Windows or life insurance
UCLUB- If you want to hang out with successful young engineer who either married into money or inherit because their dad owns a car dealership.
Upper middle class?

CCL course is awesome. Membership is a mix of retired and young. There are tons of young families in the neighborhood and at the pool in the summer. The golf course has more old than young but still plenty people in their 30s and 40s. At CCL there is a big portion of the members that live in the neighborhood, so people tend to know each other pretty well.
BRCC demographically is the same. The course is tighter but still super nice. It's more than double the cost to join vs CCLA.
Food is excellent at both. Neither has good workout facility if you're a gym rat.
UCLUB--you're already there so you know what's going on there.
If it's all about golf then CCL is the best. If For social reasons just choose the one where you know more people.

What's an upper middle class household income? Is it $125,000 and over?

Per US News:
Poverty Class: < $23,050
Working Class: $23,050 - $32,499
Lower Middle Class: $32,00 - $60,000
Middle Class: $60,001 - $100,000
Upper Middle Class: $100,001 - $149,999
Upper Class (5%'ers): $150,000 - $249,999
The 1%'ers: $250,000+

Understanding poverty, the middle class, and the upper class. According to the Census Bureau, 46.2 million people—about 15 percent of the U.S. population—currently live below the poverty line, or the income level needed to make a bare-essentials living in the United States. This figure depends on a number of factors, but is currently calculated to be an annual income of $23,050 for a family of four.
The next level of income is the middle class, a broad category that captures the vast majority of Americans. It's also controversial: Scholars and studies define sections of the middle class differently. But there are similarities between nearly all classifications.
The working class falls at the lowest end of the middle-class spectrum. These workers are employed in blue-collar industries or are paid by the hour. They typically have lower levels of education.
Next is the lower-middle class, which is primarily comprised of lower-level, white-collar workers. These workers typically have college educations, but lack the graduate degrees needed to advance to higher levels of employment. Income for these workers generally falls between $32,500 and $60,000.
Upper-middle-class workers typically have post-graduate degrees and work at high-level, white-collar positions. Household income for these workers is often above $100,000. According to the Census bureau, upper-middle-class, or professional class workers, earn enough to be in the top one-third of American incomes.
The next income level is what is commonly called the "5 percent," or the percentage of Americans who make more than $150,000 annually. At the top of the economic ladder is the so-called "1 percent," or households that earn more than $250,000 annually.

How old are you? Is golf a priority? Tennis? I worked at CCLA for just under a decade, left a couple of years ago. I can answer most of your questions on that particular facility. Very little knowledge of BRCC, but I know UC pretty well.

As a 23 year old I'd choose uclub all day. It's my goal to be a member by the time I'm 30

UCLUB is a best value but the course is clowns mouth stupid at times and crowded. CCLA is the best layout in the city and overall best for a golfer. BRCC is old money and basically sherwood without the ditch but in nice shape.

Relief window owner lives in a prairieville subdivision.

I don't think Reese Jones ever had his hand in Sherwood
Posted on 12/9/15 at 6:40 pm to Cdub_tiger
I would probably just join LaTour
Posted on 12/9/15 at 6:40 pm to Golfer
Evel Kneivel took a dump at Sherwood once. Jones put some lipstick on BRCC. What are we talking about again?
Posted on 12/9/15 at 6:44 pm to Thib-a-doe Tiger
La Tour or Money Hill.

Good luck getting in.
Any of them at the moment is actually pretty easy to get in but that window is closing. CCL and BRCC is running a deal for young professionals to get in at a steal, BRCC is kinda lame golf wise and a much older crowd IMO and if golf is your thing then CCL trumps them all. I wouldn't join UClub because of all of the tournament play and never being able to get a tee time there, CCL would be my choice if I lived in the BR area hands down.
