I went to Woodlake in. Abbeville.
It’s a great value.
They have one in Ethyl, too
Go to the one in Ethyl. It's a much nicer setting. Get him signed up on Medicaid and he'll have better options. Until then, Rayville Recovery is free but the one in Rayville that the other poster says is 'the best' is Palmetto. It is not free and usually doesn't even accept Medicare. Their are exceptions to the Medicare part.
Without any insurance or money, your options are very limited. In BR, there is CARP but it's a process to get in. Pecan Haven in Monroe is ok and based off the Palmetto model, but it's also not free but they will work with you.
If you just have to get him in somewhere, BR Detox will at least buy you a few days to figure out your next move. From severe alcoholism, medical detox is a MUST.

The most expensive treatment center in the country has about the same success rate as the cheapest though. It’s one of those if you really want it, you get it kind of things.
1000% correct. The biggest component is the mindset when he hits the front door. He either is willing to do ANYTHING to get sober or he's not ready.

No facility can help.None. It's up to him/her, but I'd start w/ primary doc w/ rehab meds and family supervision before rehab facility. Those things cost and are cultish.

Paid for it. He demanded his own RV in the parking lot for his personal lodging.

I guess the rehab is called Capital area Recovery now. See below link. 40 beds. It's free. It's on wooddale.
I went there in 2005, it sucks. The staff there didn’t seem to give a shite. It could be completely different now, I have no idea.
Waterfront Rescue Mission in Pensacola did the job for me. I know, quote my username and laugh.

It's not. Cost of treatment has basically zero correlation with chance of success. I'm a big fan of teen challenge which is basically free, but the program last about a year. Don't get hung up on the name. Most people in it are between 25-35.
Dodson, of speed trap fame, is home of a teen challenge transitional facility where teen challenge patients go after they finish the first phase of treatment. There's a cafe that's staffed by teen challenge graduates. Big controversy because Dodson is a dry jurisdiction and a convenience store near the rehab place is trying to get beer sales legalized.

Then I can not recommend that enough. Their program is phenomenal.

Judgmental prick, I see. But a primary doc and family can help way before a rehab cult place.

I get someone calling AA cultish but to think rehabilitation is a cult is one of the more unusual takes I’ve ever heard.

I spent about 9 months at bridge house in 2014. Been sober since. Even worked for them afterwards. Back then I was a great place. After 9 months I paid 27 dollars at completion. It’s much shorter and a different program now because of state funding, but I can’t find anyone who has been around it who wouldn’t recommend it.
I have friends that work at wood lake in Ethel. Much shorter programs but I’ve seen a lot of success from it.
Good luck whichever way y’all go.

As alcohol withdrawal can be deadly I'd say it's a medical situation.
A hospital social worker would be your best resource.

People are free to buy into AA or not. But, this guy is concerned about acute alcohol overuse/dependance.
AA has zero business treating such situations. It's a medical situation at that that time.

AA doesn’t treat such situations though
