frick right off with this shite. He had an 11 year old kid and he killed himself. Special place in Hell for anyone who could do that. I don't care worth a shite what he "was dealing with" and neither should you.

We went from a society who thought going to see a psychiatrist was strange in the 60’s, to apparently, “most of the country has a mental illness or disorder”.

Christ on a fricking cracker

dude killed himself and is still more respected than you. Weird.

Yeah, that sounds like exactly the kind of elitist prick thing Bourdain would say.

Then be thankful you have the mental health to be able to do this so easily.

It's not as easy for everyone else.

Your complete ignorance on mental health shows with your posts. Guess not everyone can have basic intelligence can they?

That tells me that you don’t know the definition of it.

There’s a special place in hell for a confused 11 year old? I don’t know what you’ve gone through, but that’s dark as shite.

Again..your posts show you are truly ignorant when it comes to how mental illness works.

For someone that truly struggles with clinical depression...it isn't about "strength of the mind".

Would you tell someone that has a debilitating physical disease they should try to have basic "strength of their body" to get better?

The 60s thought the lobotomy was a fine procedure, so excuse me if I don’t want to follow their ideals when it comes to treating mental health.

CNN has an app with all his episodes on it. Not sure if you have to have to sign in with your cable provider or not.

Your reading comprehension is horrible OMLandshark. He's talking about Bourdain not his 11 yr old kid.

People like you that deny that mental illness is real are part of the problem.

It's not about having "strength of the mind". It's about a real chemical imbalance in your brain. One that affects how you feel, your emotions, your outlook on life....everything.

It's not about being "weak". It's about having a real illness. But ignorant folks like yourself with your tiny little brains can't comprehend that. Cause because you can't actually see the illness(like you can see a physical illness) you don't think it's really there.

I'm glad you think it's so fricking funny.

Meanwhile...some of us are actually dealing with this living nightmare.

Either we are struggling with mental illness ourselves...or we are dealing with a family member that fights these mental demons.

Me...I'm dealing with being the daughter of a man who just tried to kill himself 3 weeks ago. I have to have the constant worry now in the back of my mind that one day I will get a call that he tried again...and this time it worked. I have to navigate the mental health world with him and my mom and go with him to psychiatrist appointments. Helping my mom make sure he takes all his meds. Praying the psych meds he has been switched to will actually finally help him. Pray the therapist he reluctantly will see will help him fight his demons on anxiety. Remind him he has a brand new grandchild to live for now.

But I'm glad you find the topic a source of amusement. Me...it's a fricking living nightmare at the moment.

I don’t really GAF either way, but your view of it seems arse backwards. He didn’t pay shite. It’s those who loved him who will pay the price, and will continue to pay until the day they die. That’s not being a human, that’s being a selfish, self-centered piece of shite. JMO
