The best part is that there is now precedent on how to do this. There will be more new incorporations outside Shreveport I'm sure.

Maybe figure out how to turn the city of BR around an you won't have so many people moving out? Maybe you get a mayor with reasonable brain function to lead the city out of the sewage drain it is headed down and so many people won't want to escape? Maybe you figure out a reason for people to WANT to live it the city of BR?
Why do you hate diversity?

Great news. Now what?
St George sends the $250,000,000 invoice to the city of Baton Rouge, that's what.

Are you serious? The city of Baton Rouge just filed a lawsuit against the City of Baton Rouge because they're a majority black city and they don't have majority black representation in the council.
This AFTER 10 years of berating the people of St. George because it will be a majority white city and having a city majority one race was evidently a bad thing, until now.

A couple weeks ago from MOP

"What are they getting sworn into, a non-existent city?" Pierson said before the ceremony. "These people are jumping the gun. They better not collect any public money, that's all I can tell them. Unless they want to go to jail."

it's like reparations even though St George citizens benefitted from services provided from Baton Rouge
There are dozens of empty lots in my parents neighborhood because the homes were flooded after Baton Rouge stop maintaining ditches and canals in the area after they voted for St. George.
Ask MOP. That bitch lives in the neighborhood.

So uhh.. what’s all this about?
Dec. 7 ballot measure for 2% sales tax
Dec. 7 ballot measure for 2% sales tax
quote:
Just a few hours after the Louisiana Supreme Court denied the request to rehear the St. George incorporation case, aldermen for the new city called an emergency meeting for Thursday night.
The meeting’s agenda includes a resolution to authorize a Dec. 7 ballot measure for a 2% sales and use tax to pay for general municipal services.
Posted on 6/27/24 at 4:23 pm to PhiTiger1764
This is to formally establish the 2% as a city sales tax to remove any chance of the Parish continuing to delay payment.

I love SWB jawboning the same bullshite...
No date of incorporation
No boundaries
Guess what bitch? Latest possible date of incorporation is when the governor certified the election (and there's a good argument it's the day of the election).
ALSO
The borders were set out in the petition
AND
The annexation SINCE are absolute nullities and the tax revenue generated from them (stolen) is St.G's

I'd be filing 863 motions for every pleading the City/Parish files.

Yeah except the mayor of Baton Rouge and the metro council fought it tooth and nail. They miscalculated and the dice came up craps. Time to pay the piper bitch. Doesn’t matter how much money was spent in the incorporated area. It was a city and the metro council stole money they shouldn’t have. There’s like millions in interest owed on that money too.
Blame these racists elected officials for the downfall of BR City.

It is always nice to see someone like MOP be wrong especially when it is MOP herself. She says it will be 5-10 years of litigation. Is she going to do that pro bono or will cash strapped EBR pay for it?

Broome backers have been paying for the attorneys to stop SG. Our C-P Council has never authorized a dime for this. They have kind of laid low the entire time.
But now it’s real, and it’s time to settle up. They can’t hide anymore.

I don't think the city/parish would be litigating this. The parties who don't want to be part of STG will be
