Just do what they do to you. Completely disregard what they say. They are going to have a very long 12 years. That's what keeps me warm at night.

Good that he was honest enough to be left behind, unlike the ones I know that are full steam ahead. Some try to ignore all the crazy shite but impossible to do.

She does not have tds, but the conversation that blew my mind was my wife is buying into the "Elon has been given too much power, and he's giving young kids too much clearance" push. I tried to explain the issue with USAID, but she couldn't get past the clearance levels Elon appears to have and the authority the media is claiming he has.

Sounds like my wife erupting about tariffs going to make prices higher. SMH. I just told her “it’s much more complicated than that, do you want to discuss international trade and finance?” Not sure if it worked but she dropped it.
They’re just being spoon fed by the fricking media with zero depth.

Some people feel the need to appear smarter than everyone else. They know things "first", like to argue about immunology, politics and frankly everything else. Some of my family members have gone off the deep end and don't understand these on line groups make money from "clicks". They give great examples of confirmation bias. These are not
uneducated people. Psychology is a very interesting subject.

It really doesn't seem that bad this go round. 2016 seemed way worse. Once you tune out all the crazy folks screaming on social media most people seemed to have accepted it and moved on

Buddy of mine invited me to the illegal immigrant drag show at the local middle school last weekend. I put my foot down and told the baw we can't be friends anymore

Don't argue with a fool (liberal) lest you become one yourself.

Why would you want people like that in your life?

Honestly, why would you lose friends over something as petty as politics? We all want to be on “the winning team” , but when you get right down to it politics doesn’t matter that much. There is no right or wrong in politics…it is just a matter of spinning the facts one way or another.

That’s not important enough to lose friends over…

Just unfollow them and not de-friend them. That way if they look they still see you there but you don’t have to read their bullshite.

Right there with you..It is amazing to be the anger target of people being mad at Donald Trump...just cause I voted for somebody doesn't mean I made the decisions that wrecked your world...Its called transference and it is the main symptom of TDS.
Sad and so destructive...but you will never convince them just how wrong they are....

Covid showed me a lot about people I thought were my friends. People id known since grade school suddenly decided hiding in their houses were more important than friends and family. People “working from home out of an abundance of caution” didn’t want to spend time with my family because I went to work every day and I would be “putting their families at risk.”

One particular friend sort of chastised me for having my son’s birthday party. Doubled Vaxxed, etc. They of course didn’t come. Every member of his family ended up having Covid. “Never left the house.”

People that don’t invest in you aren’t worth your time.

I lost contact with a number of friends / contacts, and even a few family members, during 2017 - 2020. In every single case, the other person broke off contact with me.

Why? Because I dared not agree with 100 percent of their TDS-influenced meltdowns.

It sucks. Those were good people who were brainwashed and could not see that.

Now, it's happening again... no... those people are still gone, but it's happening to a whole new batch of people. TDS 2.0 seems a whole lot stronger than TDS 1.0, and there may not be any cures that they are willing to accept. The absolute meltdowns, fake news, and all that are insane and one thing.

But what I can't stand, and what is FAR worse this time... is the "we know better than you" and condescending attitudes.

If someone wante to post garbage on their own pages, cool. But when you come on to other people's pages, post garbage, and then attack them for not agreeing with you... that... that is a mental disorder.

Dear Facebook... but as a human, this sucks. Oh well.

It is beyond frustrating.

The goal of our overloads is to push division and hate. No matter what side you're on, someone is trying to manipulate you. I would say it is the weak-minded who fall for it, but smart successful people do too. The MAGA end is just as bad. Anyone who brands them a republican or democrat (unless a politician who's making money off it) is a sheep.

Unfortunately, we are getting dumber as a society in a time when we should be getting smarter. Growing up folks would say, don't believe anything your read or hear and only half of what you see. Now everyone believes everything instantly. It makes no sense.

I don't think we can come back from this as a society.
