When he was first starting out with WWL, he came to speak to my class at Kehoe about the weather. I was in maybe 4th grade. This thread makes me think I need to grow up

We are probably around the same age. I remember his first day on the air... i was home sick from school and my paw-paw (RIP) came over to watch me. He ALWAYS watched the noon, 5 pm, and 6 pm WWL news. Anyways I was in the dining room eating soup or something and he had on the 12 pm news and this doofus with a bad haircut and glasses comes on to do the weather. He proceeded to mispronounce about 2/3rds of the city names during his weathercast. And my paw-paw said, "get this yankee off the tv!" He definetly acclimated himself to the area over time.
It's amazing the things you remember 3 decades later, and yet, I can't remember stuff from yesterday.

Not sure. Nash was just ready to stop being on tv every day. But Carl, if this medical issue prevents his ability to see and analyze, I don't know what more he can do. Unless it's just to be a calming presence and someone else does all the analysis and he just reports it.
