Well, considering the go-to line for Alabama Covidiots is, "No one is actually wearing their masks...reeeeee!!!!", his is pretty good anecdotal evidence.

No. Even if it was, it's been immediately discredited by multiple other posters in this thread. So which ones are right?

You keep bringing that up as though it means jack shite. It’s pretty pathetic.

Oh I think it is directly relevant seeing as it is typically a lower IQ subculture.

Masks are hard to find outside of Jefferson County, AL.

A bit of an exaggeration, but it is true that compliance is nowhere near what it is in Bham. And someone asked where the hotspot in Bama is. Jefferson County, where mask use is heaviest is as bad as any.

If the OP needs 9mm ammo, there is a gun show at the BJCC. Lots of 9mm to be had there.

In stores, yes. But many people are gathering in homes, weddings and other private events and not wearing masks. This goes for conservatives and liberals. People are understandably tired of it. But the results of this fatigue are clearly evident.

I think the piece of underwear we are wearing on our faces is rather ridiculous

But I like wearing underwear on my face

Not really - just a joke

OP believes his one day personal sample size is an accurate case study for the previous nine months. It's a special kind of stupid.

Yes. Today is the only day I’ve been out of my house. And just by chance I went out on the one day virtually everyone decided they’d wear their mask this one particular day.

Good lord you’re the most stupid, feeble minded sheep on this site.

Strange, mask wearing is still pretty prevalent in most all the places I've been recently. The main exception being gas stations.

Well, we were traveling and hit a gas station and fast food joint so my experience was limited to that in Hattiesburg.

But I was traveling with 3 women and 2 dogs so we stopped A LOT so I had plenty of times for observations.

I spent all day in the Shoals area earlier this week. We made several stops, I will spare the itinerary, and 95%+ were wearing masks. The only place I saw people not wearing them was at a gas station. There it was 60/40.

Thanks - I’ve been to Alabama/Mississippi a few times in the past few weeks - and coming from Louisiana - it just seemed really laid back with the mask wearing

So now I go grocery shopping in Livingston parish to get that same laid back feel

It felt good not having to bother with one when we were gone. My in laws live in rural Jefferson County Alabama now and nobody cared about masks there except for Wal-Mart.

The five year old and I popped into the Walmart in foley last weekend (for a potty break and some Bluey toys) - and the place was crowded but maybe 10 ppl had on masks

And everyone is pretty friendly - I had forgotten how to smile

Exactly. That's how my mom caught it back in July. She went to a small gathering that was held at one of the people's grandson's house. Some friends went over to the grandson's house and they stayed outside.. But one of the girlfriend's had to go use the bathroom. She went inside and talked to the group on the way.

They found out the next day the girl... Who was a paramedic, had tested positive earlier that week. I think there were 5 or 6 older women at the gathering.. And 3 or 4 tested positive. One ended up in the hospital, my mom was really sick for 2 weeks (barely get out the bed sick) and the others had no symptoms.
