I spent the entire day in the B’ham area shopping with my family. We went to the following:

Hobby Lobby
Red Lobster
Home Depot
Books-A-Million
JC Penny
Target
Starbucks
Some Antiques Shop in Irondale
Bass Pro Shop
Freddy’s Steakburgers

I made a point to look for people not wearing a mask. Everywhere we went was quite crowded and busy. Business seems to be going quite briskly everywhere. Of all the places we went and all the people I saw, I encountered a total of 4 people not wearing a mask (1 small child at Books-A-Million, 3 teenagers at Bass Pro Shop). Literally every other person I saw today was wearing their mask.

The only logical conclusion I can come to is the notion that the spike in COVID cases is tied to people not wearing masks is false. The overwhelming majority of people are wearing masks. Thus, if people are wearing their mask and cases are still increasing, logic dictates that wearing a mask has little, if any, effect on stopping the spread of COVID-19.

Also, In case anyone is wondering, Bass Pro is still out out virtually all ammo. I specifically asked for .44 and 9mm. No luck with either.

I saw this guy the other night at the gas station. He had on a Punisher mask that said "frick It" on the back

As a heart patient, I will continue to wear my mask just in case it actually does make a difference. For me, it’s too important. Although with that said, the wife’s best friend came over on Thursday then woke up with fever yesterday and was diagnosed with covid today. We were at home so we obviously didn’t wear a mask. I feel like my streak of no covid is coming to an end very soon. Time will tell.

It was my son’s turn to pick where we have lunch. That’s where he wanted to go. Is this where you pretend you’re too good to grab lunch at Red Lobster?

I agree. I don’t see how Red Lobster stays in business. I ate there 1 time and it sucked.

I’ve never been inside a Red Lobster in my life. I think I’m okay with that, too.

Red Lobster is no different than any other chain restaurants. Some are ok. Some suck. Like I said, my son picked Red Lobster so we went. Would not have been my first choice but whatever. I can’t speak for all Red Lobsters but the one in Trussville today had great service and the food was good.

Most of the increases in cases are from family gatherings indoors.

Then there's absolutely no reason to shut down private industry.

What’s sad is you’re so stupid you’ve fooled yourself into thinking you’re not.

You really missed your calling as an epidemiologist. Should have done that instead of your biker club.

I'm not a mask nazi by any means. I think they probably have very limited effectiveness.

But we traveled from BR to Birmingham for Thanksgiving and once you get outside of the decent sized cities nobody is wearing a mask.
