This intersection baffles the frick out of me. The concrete median has a fire hydrant in it right at the light by Perkins Rowe. That concrete median makes it such that people turning left onto Perkins from Bluebonnet can’t make it to the turn lanes. Therefore, like you see in this picture, the two turn lanes are nearly while the me and couple of cars in front of me can’t get to the turn lanes.

Add this to the list of dumb traffic infrastructure in Baton Rouge.

End rant.

I, too, also loved her. Since we're eskimo brothers, is there like a handshake, do we rub noses? What happens here?

Why not just turn left into Perkins Rowe from the other red light on Bluebonnet?

I think Baton Rouge and state dotd engineers are either stupid or getting paid under the table, or both! This is one of many WTF were they thinking moments. You should see the street drain at the top of Nicholson and Lee. If water gets that high, we will all be dead. Not to mention it looks like the put the side walk on the street as opposed to the ground beside it.

It baffles me.

I suppose you’re right. I’ll say southwest.

You're right by KFC.

Grab me a Famous Bowl and a couple of those Chicken Littles, the Nashville Hot flavor

Is the fire hydrant in this picture? Also that appears to be an insanely long left turn lane cut out in the median. I imagine 95% of the time there are not enough stacked cars to block access to the turn lanes.

Maybe the street could be designed better, but lots of cars will cause back-up at peak times. If we had to design streets to handle the peak of traffic with no slowdown, you would have more street than developable land in some places in BR.

If you drove something other than a Prius, you could drive over the median and continue on into the turn lane. Drag them truck nutz all over that median.
