There's a big difference. Big difference. You can do something the right way. Or you can be a barbarian. Simple as that.

When you are dealing with a barbaric practice...what's the benefit to not being a barbarian?

If you want peace of mind, you'd best steer clear of reality.
It's a brutal, nasty place.

I always thought that following rabbis around all day while they bless animals and then slice their throats would be a great reality show.

Not at all. You can still be a realist and a decent human being. It requires sacrifice and most people don't have the strength for it but it is possible.

Meh. I have a background in the poultry industry and there are some pretty serious violations going in the video, but much of it is par for the course.

The people who usually work in live hang are the worst of the worst, felons and convicts. That's the part where it's dark and they are screwing around throwing birds. It's rare to have birds miss the electric dip to stun them before they hit the blade. There are also people standing behind that have to take care of the birds that miss the blade, those are some of the pieces of the video and that's perfectly normal. Pulling heads off and general jerking around screwing with birds...it comes down to bad management. The supervisors should be more on top of these kinda shenanigans

I don't think much will come of this. The third party auditors will be all over Tyson for the next few months, they may lose a customer or three, but it won't affect their bottom line much.

A decent human being?

You're worried about a fricking chicken. There are children dying all over the world. ACTUAL injustice, and you are wringing your hands about a few more moments of discomfort for a stupid fricking bird whose only destination ever has been a god damn 5 for 5$ meal at the the fricking KFC!

I dono care about the chickens. I do realize how nasty that shite is and don't want to eat meat bc of the pieces of shite involved. You wanna eat something soaked in aids? Have fun. I'll go eat my salmonella spinach sandwich.
