Hippos are fricking terrifying
Apparently when Pablo Escobar brought a bunch over to Colombia then had to abandon them, they had no natural predator in the region so their population has absolutely exploded and is basically destroying a huge part of the environment

I didn't think they had predators in Africa. Crocs eating pups or something?

Hippos are murderous psychopaths. I spoke with a guy in the South African army, and they aren't afraid of elephants, lions, etc. They are terrified of hippos and they hate hyenas (they are considered cowards, as they won't approach normally, but they will attack if you're sleeping).

I’m unsure. Wonder if the vast ecosystem of Africa lends itself a little better to multiple apex predators (compared to Colombia)

had a hippo chase use back to the tour minibus in Kenya in 1986. 5 people trying to get through one door was really funny

Great to see a quality outboard on there.
The first boat we had growing up had a 7.5hp mercury.
A few years later we got a 15 hp Evinrude....
