I wonder what the burglary charge is. They don’t mention anything about it in the article.

Yea, I did not get that either

Serious question:

At what number of arrests do we just say enough is enough and put the dude in front of a firing squad and be done with it. Pretty obvious this guy can't function in a civilized society

Usually burglary is an unauthorized entry onto or into the property of another, with the intent to commit a criminal offense therein (or thereon, as the case may be).

It's amazing there are people here defending the charter boat captain.

Kid should have shot him.

Typically the first degree burglary would be up to life, but exception:
quote:

Habitual felony offender” means a defendant for whom the court may impose an extended term of imprisonment, as provided in paragraph (4)(a), if it finds that: 1. The defendant has previously been convicted of any combination of two or more felonies in this state or other qualified offenses.

He has 3 prior felonies on his record:

Felony battery
Weapon on school grounds
Dealing in stolen property

He seems to qualify as a habitual offender, although quick glance I don’t think he gets mandatory minimum life. Saw some language requiring violent felonies

And I don’t think death is eligible unless it’s a violent offense like murder, felony sexual assault etc, or he intended to kill the victim

The only thing that kid did wrong was getting too close for the a-hole to board his boat. Other than that he did a sufficient job at diffusing the situation. The good news is Florida LE doesn’t frick around.

Maritime laws can be really unusual too. Who knows what the Coast Guard may end up charging him with? There are laws on the books that go back centuries.

He illegally boarded another vessel with violent intent. I wonder what that means from a Maritime standpoint?

Where's the prolso? He can answer this shite.

FL is really not the state you want to get arrested in.

The sheriffs are old school as hell and the judges don’t play.

Given his priors and the publicity around the case this guy is facing real prison time.

Does the CG usually get involved with maritime crimes within state waters? Or would they, like the FBI, refer it back to local LE to prosecute? CG being a federal agency and all.

I’m sure they can revoke his license though since they issued it.

This dude sure did frick up. I mean lots of people are assholes, but this cat really stepped in it

That right there is going to be the biggest factor in the state’s approach to the criminal proceedings in this matter.

Id say the fact that he’s a habitual offender who committed a felony against a minor on camera is the biggest factor in the criminal proceedings, but yeah the judge getting to crow about locking him up is the cherry on top for sure.

he wasn't talking any shite you dumb mother fricker. he was going over the details of the morning with a screaming low iq piece of fricking shite who was trying to show off how big his nuts were in front of a bunch of dudes that were embarrassed as frick to be on his boat. the dude wouldn't listen to shite, wouldn't share in the apologies of the mornings event when recklessly blasted through the groupings of boat fishing under the bridge. he fricking instantly used his veteran card like it was relevant at all when he was simply a fricking piece of weak shite. he told that dumb mother fricker brock he wasn't the boat with lights off 9 fricking times. horner persisted confrontation like a big ole bully arse bitch. the more the kid backed down, the more horner sensed weakness and then wanted the continued escalation. that is what a fricking bitch does.

Actually the best summary of the video.
